Bridges and Fog

Change and I are among the most uncomfortable of companions, and yet, it appears that change is upon us. As many of you know, we have determined to move to Utah. It likely took an act of God to get us there, and I am very grateful for that. But how does one say goodbye to our life here in this unbelievable place? I can't begin to answer, except to say that my mind thinks much on bridges and fog.

Hi Jenn!

Bountiful, our home town. We will be there one way or another on August 31. Very excited, but also sad.

We LOVE LOVE LOVE Bountiful! Bill served his mission there and we just love it! Wish we could go, too! Doing our time in the bay area, though!

Six weeks on I can safely say that you are making a positive change. I left Marin full of trepidation. I was very involved in the community. Jerry had a thriving career. And I had the greatest group of friends a girl could ask for, but even with all those ties, our quality of life is so much better in Utah.

p.s. I ran into Teresa H. and her boys today while out running errands.

We are so sad to see you go...this place is so perfect except for all the "excepts"--how much it cost to live, how much everyone has to work to get by, how hectic life is...just this week, I was walking down to a lighthouse with my girls, then sitting on a beach and thinking how much I would miss having such beauty around every corner. I know what you are feeling!!!

Those are some beautiful pictures! I didn't know fog could be so spectacular. I guess I am usually driving through the middle of it when I come to it. You guys are making a great change! The fam is so excited that you are moving back! Now we just need to work on the other 3 Moon's! :o) Love you guys!

ps. see video instructions at my blog under your comments!

WOW!!! Great news for the Baileys! San Rafael simply won't be the same without you. Chris and I were talking about our future visits to SR and how strange it will be not to see you there. But good for us, we have lots of reasons to go to Utah and Chris' grandfather lives in Bountiful and we will be there often as well. Best wishes to you all!

wow.. Curt Carpenter said you were moving but I didn't believe him. Well, Congrats and I am sad we did't live here sooner so we could have spent some more time with you as our bishop. Good luck and we will miss you.

Congratulations on the upcoming adventure! I know how you feel about change. We miss the Bay area every day, but it's been fun to try life in a different place too. We have ties to Utah as well (what Mormon doesn't???) so hopefully we can make a connection sometime! Best of luck; we sure miss the Bailey fam!
