Today was a very hard day for the Baileys. It was Mina's last day of work, and at the end of the day, we had to say goodbye. Though we paid her, she was not an employee, but a dear friend, who has cared for our children for the past seven years. Substitute mom, grandma, sister, play buddy, chauffeur and friend, she brought true love for our kids to work with her every day, along with incredible energy and a quick laugh. Because of her Kate speaks Spanish, Alden played in the park every day of his life, our laundry was always done, and our kitchen was clean every day (you saw last night what our future looks like without her). Kate cried when we said goodbye today; unexpectedly, so did her dad, who remembered all at once all that this little dynamo of a person had done for his family. Mina was and is special and we will always think of her as our own. Here are a few pictures of our time together.
Thanks Mina, we will miss you!

She really is the best! I remember her from different trips and all the stories I heard of her and the kids through the years. Even though I didn't know her as personally, I felt she was part of the family by the way you all spoke of her. I am sad for you to have to say goodbye and am grateful to Mina for being so kind and wonderful to my family! Love you guys!
Goodbyes are NEVER fun! But it is SUPER exciting you are moving to UTAH! I am excited to come visit you and see the new place and the new addition to the family!
That is so sad. Goodbyes are never fun, especially to someone so close to you.
